(no subject)

Yesterday turned out a very good day. First, not having to get up at outlandish times... the few lessons I had to do were all stimulating and productive. A good part of the afternoon was spent with @charliecakes at the Wellcome Collection for the Death: A Self-Portrait exhibition, which was good. And the pies at the Peyton and Byrne café there were exceedingly good. Then go for one more lesson and finally attend the gig by Drilling Spree, Die Kur and Maxdmyz at the Intrepid Fox, which, again, I enjoyed a lot in spite of my slight reservations about the place as a concert venue.

And finally, finished reading The System of the World by Neal Stephenson. At 3:15 am. The story is fascinating, the detail about life in London in the times of Newton and Hooke are too -but so very long. Three one-thousand page books. This book will need, not a review exactly but a little bit of thinking aloud in writing about, some time later on. And now I'm a little freer to finish reading the other four books I'm reading at the moment.
