computery

(no subject)

Funny how you see a flurry of activity here all of a sudden ('here' meaning in my flist page), followed by the usual quieting down to the 15 or 20 regulars (of my flist of about 360). I do have to say that LJ is much less annoying now that there is practically no drama, no silly posts (they're not real 'memes', are they, not in the sense that Dawkins seems to have been thinking of when he coined the term) on the lines of 'which super-hero am I?', etc and still gives you an insight into the lives and minds of friends in a way that FB cannot do -or perhaps can but doesn't. It would be good if some of those who make cameo appearances did stay, given that they're people I like and see rather little of these days, but there you go.
