major bummer..
Reading the hundreds of articles in the contract for the new flat, it turns out that apparently I've agreed not to request a resident's parking permit (except disabled permits). As there is no parking in the building, this means I cannot have a car. This is a major problem as it would greatly diminish my income, and I've already signed and given away my money. Grr. Have emailed the vendors but I suspect it is too late to back off this. Grr grr.

and when did you agree to not request a permit? and mhy is this in the contract at all - what's it got to do with the vendor? sod them - get a permit - they surely couldn't justify throwing you out for parking a car..

Ah, but it is not the vendors but Camden Council that put in the restriction, due to population density, apparently -will have to speak to them on Monday, but it is a major problem for me; I would lose a lot of work without a car, or spend half of what I get from the lessons in taxis, etc.. :/

that's nuts. population density means they should restrict housing. If they want the houses but not the cars thats a parking, rather than population problem. Nobheads.

My agency appears to want me to get my place professionally cleaned - carpets an' all before I move out. Fuck that.

Yeah, they all seem to be doing that these days. Barsetwards.

Surely if you need one for work it's different?
