And so we took a taxi to Heathrow in the middle of the night and my sister took her plane back to Vz and I got left with a weird sense of emptiness, of loss even though I didn't lose anything but quite the contrary. We reconnected with each other and with the Italian part of the family and had some fab days together.

Now normal life resumes and I'm sitting in my Watford school waiting for my first pupil and pondering on bills to pay, on dentist's appointments and the like and how to eke out my income through the summer and still do the things I want to do (not that many, just Infest and maybe, now that I got the taste, a few days away).
