[ guitar ] bach BWV996 gigue, at KTCF last March

Many thanks again to augeas for filming that concert. Some artefacts in image and sound are inevitable due to the nature of the equipment used to record (a phone..).

Thats sounds lovely :) Do you arrange your classical music for guitar yourself or is there somewhere you can get tab for classical music?

I ... you mean renaissance/baroque tablature? the English renaissance lute tab system is quite complicated with letters instead of numbers for the frets, so it can be a bit difficult to read but Bach's pieces are in notation. I read from music, I'm severely astigmatic and quite a bit short-sighted so I have more difficulty reading from tab than from music. It's a mixture of things, I have quite a few editions of these Bach pieces (and for a few I have facsimiles of the original manuscripts, thanks to the internets) and because the lute (if for the lute they were, which is not certain) has so many more strings than the guitar, you do have to make decisions (I haven't got enough bass notes here, do I just jump an octave on that note or transpose the whole phrase up? is it even possible to do the latter?) and everybody's ones are different and mine are yet again different. That probably was a much longer and more involved reply than you needed, sorry! :)
